Will do; wont get a lot of time to play with it at the moment because Im preparing to move house. Im a bit ahead of schedule with packing though (and behind with the legal stuff; bloody solicitors!), so I hope to get a chance to play with it at least a little bit in the next week or three....

given that i currently live out of a cardboard box myself that shouldn't be a problem

before i take the plunge on a new version of sonar i really need some insight, its the nuances that count for me on this one as i am really quite happy with 3, and those only come from some serious use (demos just dont cut it)

I agree with your thorough disagreement.

Coming from Sonar 5, Sonar 6 is a massive leap forward in terms of usability, imo. Even the silly little helper things like preset increment buttons and the [READ][WRITE] buttons on softsynths make parameter automation easy and simple and more spontenious compared to 5. Not to mention the great stuff ACT adds. It used to be a much slower process in S5 and I wouldn't want to go back. After a session with 6, 5 came straight off.

Yeah I guess I haven't worked with it enough. I keep getting frustrated because my MIDIs will be one instrument for the first two seconds, then change into a default instrument. It's been so maddening I've been using Magix lately even though I just got Sonar 6. Do you know how to solve my problem?
