I'm not sure the access times are fast enough for streaming, it would probably have to load to RAM. I think most compact flash average around 8 to 10 megabits/second (since you are also at the mercy of your CF reader), whereas RAM runs significantly faster (with 400MHz bus, upwards of 1.6 gigabytes/second).

CF is kinda of cheap. It would be cool if you could run 2gb of multi-samples without loading them to RAM...
