Based on my experiences, being able to play guitar gives 5 points out of 10 for scoring, being able to sing gives 5 out of 10 points for scoring. If you can do both there's a 10 in 10 chance you're scoring, especially if you stick your demo songs up on myspace. I haven't done this myself but I have a couple friends that have, and they're getting texted all day long by young sluts now.
That and DJ's get quite a bit of tail. I'm pretty sure Fruity Loops won't get you laid because to girls it just looks like you're playing on the computer. Unfortunately Fruity Loops people tend to be non-musicians (or at least they don't play any acoustic instrument like piano or guitar - and changing records on a spinning table doesn't count) so if you want to use a DAW for tube-diving that next community college-bound cut of veal, better start taking those guitar lessons.

Every time I've tried the latest version of FL it feels like a toy, but I know lots of people like it. I do have one friend that uses it to generate little beats to import into Nuendo but that's about the only musician (as in, someone that can play at least one instrument) I know that uses FL.
Just curious what peoples' use for FL is because I can't imagine writing a whole song in it unless its for a video game.

Being a singer/songwriter/guitarist I must concur!!Based on my experiences, being able to play guitar gives 5 points out of 10 for scoring, being able to sing gives 5 out of 10 points for scoring. Is that because you can't play the guitar, can't sing... or are you just butt-ugly?Odditory wrote:Based on my experiences, being able to play guitar gives 5 points out of 10 for scoring, being able to sing gives 5 out of 10 points for scoring.
