Charles Benjamin Plunin (also Plunnin or Plunen) (born 1712? hanged 1750) was an English highwayman known for the cruelty of his ambushes. After robbing them, he would use heated pine pitch to stick wealthy victims to the sides of their carriages, then whip up the horses and ride away laughing, having left the unfortunate nobles and merchants to their doom. After a crime spree of three years "Pitch Ben" Plunin was caught and hanged at Kennington Common.

Forgot? No such thing. I merely thought it preferable to gloss over that phase of his career, as I did his year as an itinerant juggler and pickpocket.
