_niko_ Did you change the buffer size later to be greater than 2048? That doesn't work (yet). Because of this, the creation of the effect fails.
No. I only tried lower buffers to be honest. I'll give it another go, but it is a bit difficult because the stupid EMU drivers don't allow you to set the actual buffer size, but only some bogus milliseconds value, for e.g. in Sonar the buffer size was 336 samples, i.e. not a straight power of two, which could be the problem as well I guess.
Anyway I'll retry with higher latency and will report back if I get it to work.

my log full of error-messages is here:

what if you have two pci-e synced cards?

Never tried it, but I'll give it a go if I can afford such a system :)

or an onboard with a real one? double power? ;)

This type of application is absolutely begging for a good CONVOLUTION VERB...

like SIR... or better. :)

AAAAARRRRGGGGGHHHH!

This works perfectly in ACID 6! :hyper: I installed the GPU Delay and then had to install D3DX9_29_dll_update for it to work. I just can't believe that it works so well. As Mercury once sang, "It's a kinda Magic!"

No glitches or noise when it loads. Perfect so far.

I'm having great fun delaying loops in ACID. Thanks so much for this and having the brains and the balls to program it. UA and TC Electronic might start quaking in their boots.

Please! Please! Please make a convolution verb. If you can convince Voxengo to port thier stereo convo over to GPU then I will be in 7th Heaven.

A work of GENIUS! 8)

My kit:
GForce 9550 ATi 128MB
RME Multiface
Abit AV8 Third Eye
AMD 64 3500
2GB RAM
ACID 6b

Another one caught me :)

Convolution reverb is of course, what I'm aiming at :D

So, wich are the more powerfull GPUs at the moment FOR THIS KIND of use, audio plugin, in the way you implemented them?

GForce 9550 ATi 128MB
What kind of video card is this? It can only be a ati OR a geforce, not both :)

@marce PCI-Express is recommended because the better speed back from the video card to the system and of course fast fragment shaders. (i.e. pixel shaders)

Any words about my problem/log, Nils? :-)

Which drivers and which version do you use? An update to the latest forceware driver may help.

Sorry! ATi with Catalyst Control Centre.

I've noticed that when loading the GPU Delay in ACID 6 the cpu jumps from 2% to 8% and uses about 6% cpu per instance. This is about the same amount as when I load SpinAudio's 3D Delay. Is the GPU Delay actually using my video card processor?

When I installed the video card I reduced all it's settings to minimum because I intended the computer to be used only for creating music. What settings could be adjusted in the Catalyst Control Centre to improve GPU performance and reduce CPU load?

Post

Best is to let the application control the settings. If you don't want this, I recommend to at least disable anti aliasing, it doesn't make sense in this case and only wastes GPU cycles, I don't know what happens if it is enabled (will test it).
