Yes but keep in mind that it does support dual core only for instruments (VSTi) not for effects (VST). So it is half supported (like semi automatic PDC) in reality but it is nice and better then nothing. P.S. gol does not have anything with that. Reflex is the man behind multithreadVonbrucken wrote:fl studio support dual core since version 6.1 !!!!if you got a problem just go on the betaJohnny Cherry wrote:In sonar for example both of the cores are used, this may mean
(although I don't know) that once a plugin is loaded it will stay on one core. But the point
is with fruity only one core is only ever used which leaves me with half the CPU power that
have.
forum there is a thread called "multiprocessor/core/threaded test "
report your computer performance and don't forget to enable multithreated genartors processing
nb if you had tested it really i think you wouldn't say things like that just go on looptalk![]()
@the chase you can batch convert them to flac in a lot of audio convertor applications
it is easy fast and secure and i am nearly sure there is a free one too
FL Studio 6.4 beta is out

No, this is not the same thing at all.Kyran wrote:You can actually do this.bmanic wrote:Edisson is way cool. For me the only lacking feature is offline applying of FL, VST and DX plugins. That would be awesome. This way I could apply the heavy CPU effects on single drum hits that I just recorded into edisson and then quickly drag the treated audio to a new sampler channel.
Cheers!

Just load edison in the mixer slot *after* the effects you want to apply to the audio. Press record on edison, trigger the sound you want to process. Drag the contents of edison to a new sampler channel: et voila
I use this to freeze my cpu intensive tracks.
I would like to specifically do OFFLINE rendering of ALREADY recorded small snippets. The way you describe makes it very very hard to add a reverb on JUST the kick drum, then a choruse on the NEXT snare, etc. See what I mean?
Offline processing of FL,VST and DX effects could be a huge creative pool for making whacky beats. Also, some of my experimental VST plugins do simply not run in realtime.
Cheers!

it's the same, in VST version. And I don't know for the drag/drop.

thanks for that. does anybody here have the vst version and ableton live, if you could check and see if the drag and drop works between edison and Live that would be great.

I have some questions about FL Studio/this beta:
- Is there a way to "Switch Smart Disable for all generators" like a macro / option as there is for the effects? I find it a PITA to do this for every single generator/channel manually.
Why isn't Smart Disable always on for both effects and generators and auto-applied to new generators/effects when added?
An option like this would be very useful.
- How can I open a project and then append another one to it so both songs are in the playlist and all the instruments, effects, channels and patterns used by both projects are loaded as well?

Could someone please explain to me why you can smart disable only effects whose tail doesn't exceed 4s (reverb, delay), otherwise you get a very sudden cutoff. I'm just curious as to why there is a reason to hardcode this, can't you just disable the effect whenever its not being used? Whether that's 4s or 20?

ArneyS, yep, I'd also would like to have a possibility to fine-adjust time before disabling for each fx.
And in beats and measures too, because some rhythmic effects go out of synch!
