Aleksey Vaneev wrote: That's quite reasonable. I think I may add such EQ mode to the future release of GlissEQ. At least I plan to use similar parametric filters in GlissEQ (they are almost fully symmetrical bell filters up to Nyquist limit). But I may add "meta tube" as an option as well. I also have some ideas about "meta tube" itself - maybe I can make it sound even better. :)
!!! I impatiently await this future of the wonderful glisseq!!! maybe we can get antialiased parametric curves this time around!

ok holy shit! :o

I only just now found the time to test this EQ. This is easily the best sounding Voxengo EQ this far, and in fact it jumped straight to my A-list. This as a parametric or with double the bands, and it would be *the* go to EQ already.

Seems mastering friendly as is. Oh and what an ergonomic gui. I did not find anything distracting about it this far (other than the stuff already pointed out by bmanic obviously).

I like what this does to transients! I find it amusing how different all these digital EQs can sound like. Seems like there's a great pallette of differing transient and phasing behaviour with nyquistEQ, posihfopit (or electri-q), hydratone, PLpar, IIEQ, and now this.

I'll do a thorough test on more variable material later. no bugs on this end yet. :tu:

Yes, I do plan to use anti-aliased curves. At least I have a budget to buy this code from somebody. :)

Fine. Gliss became my bread and butter EQ.
I only use it for cutting by now but it's spectrum analyzer really helps
my unntrained ears dealing with fighting frequencies.

I've been checking this plug for a coupla hours (with headphones) on some current stuff and am quite intrigued. Don't think I've ever heard such a thick, round yet pleasent sounding plugin ever. Anybody been testing/using this for longer? What are your findings.

'Tiny' feature request:

Could it be possible to add a sort of user configurable 'info message' for I/O routing buttons (should be get shown on both, main and routing screen, perhaps even saved w/ preset)?

Do you need that to remind you about the IO configuration purpose?

To find out the source and destination.

As for an example, if I load GEQ (or several GEQs) into some Host application which takes/outputs data from one or several sources, which I have routed through GEQ(s) to output to different locations (speakers/headphones) --> I need to remember which sources are connected into each input and which devices are connected for each output when I want to adjust something. If I could check this quickly by keeping the mouse pointer above button (which I have named by the connection like Headphones, etc.).

Somethins like this example in picture (stereo audio from two different sources --> one is processed to 7.1 + GEQ and dircted to 7.1 speaker system and the other is directed to 4 different locations as stereo (headphones, stereo system, 2/2.1 speaker systems):

Sure I know then which is the 7.1 system but which are the speakers, and the other path, ... Info feature would give the needed information quite fast.

NOTE: I have no VST 2.3 host in this PC, so I have not been able to use all GEQ functionality.

Aleksey, this is a real beauty ! It is indeed a wonderful EQ !!! :D
It is kind a brutal : it just walked into my basical setup and it won't get out of it anymore... :help:

Thank you very much !

Max... .. . :P

Juha, I do plan to implement channel naming (however, I also wanted to use host-application provided IO channel names).

Max, thanks for your feedback.

I missed this thread :dog: I just downloaded it...:D
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.
