I think this plug is great, sounds great and is most importantly FREE! I did some A/B'ing with the URS plugs and it sounds like the Pushtec has a SLIGHTLY more brittle high end. But, really, it's great and gets my vote.

An emu vs an emu is really just a trumped up ostrich battle.

I Did an A/B with the URS fulltec and it's very close. Top marks Leftover Lasagne, you've got my vote. If you guys don't win this thing it's a fix.

I finally came around listening to this comparison and have to say that the differences are really gigantic - I can't really say which one I like more though...

well go figure. the other is a faithful model of the actual electronic signal path, and the other is a stock standard filterset (probably biquads) with a fancy interface resembling a certain famous EQ.

this is the usual case of being tricked by the GUI, ie. placebo, ie. will you guys ever learn?

No, he wont but I agree with him. I didn't want to post here and spoil your guys party but as Kingston already started, I have to continue. IMHO it sounds nothing spectacular at all. It's a nice freebie though but against other free plugins like Nyquist, Electri-Q posihfopit edition and especially Voxengo GEQ (which has superb harmonic enhancement!) it's falling into the forgotten shadows of mediocrenes.
