So I got overdub working nicely.

One feature request (which would erase my need for most other loopers): export the loop buffer to .wav file. Loopers are a great way to build up loops/sample material for a rainy day. It could be done recording in the host, but it is so much faster to do it with an export function.

As always, Graham, this one is executed with elegance.

I couldn't agree more. That's what bothers me about a few ioplong plugins. On the whole i LOVE them, but when you record something into their buffer, it's a downright bitch to save that with the project. having the looper save the loop would be so much handier, as it knows where it starts and ends excactly.

will this leave beta anytime soon or should i jump on it now instead of waiting? sorry to sound lazy, but it seems every week i spend loads of time updating a dozen plugs to the current version without even finding the time anymore to use them.

gloop does sound great, though - exactly (maybe ;) ) what i've been looking for. :)

I've been using this a lot the last few days, have a few things to report/request. Testing has all been done in Audiomulch so far:

- when I stop/start the audio engine of the host, the buffer clears.
- if I insert an effect plugin after GLoop, the buffer clears (this might be specific to Audiomulch)
- it would be handy if there was a mode option where as soon as the initial loop ends recording, it could automatically jump into overdub mode. Right now tails get cut off on the first pass, whereas overdubs don't suffer that problem, so this would let you tail over on the first phrase without getting unwanted cuts. One way around this would be to internally handle recording the initial loop as if it were an overdub.
- the "wait for signal" mode only seems to work if the "Sync to host" option is on. Is this inevitable or could the audio trigger mode also be enabled when not in sync with host transport?
- it's a bit awkward (for my lazy head at least) to have the initial loop length set in bars, but the loop recording timer show only in seconds.

Correct me if any of my above points are missing something obvious, always happy to be pointed in the right direction. So far, of all the loopers I use and have tried, this one wins for its straightforward presentation and ease of use.

G'day mate,

I've emailed Graham telling him there are some FRs and BRs, but haven't heard from him in about a week - he might be on holidays or something :)

No worries, just posting for posterity's sake. Figure he'll see it eventually. I can wait.

Ok, that was clearly a lie. Sorry. Anyway, in the time that I've not been posting here, I have managed to satisfy a couple of feature requests. I've uploaded a new version here.

This version has simple export/import capabilities and has hopefully fixed the buffer-clearing problems shamann was having.

I'll continue to investigate the other requests and issues, so I guess this will be in beta for a little longer, fabi - hopefully not too much longer.

PS. My testing has been slightly hampered since I broke my mixer :(. If you know about mixer-electronics, then you might be able to help me here.

Cool, thanks, Graham. Looking forward to testing tonight. I know nothing about mixer electronics, sorry can't help.

Hi Graham,

Just tested it quickly. Import/export works great and the buffer doesn't clear when I insert an effect (playback pauses though), but it does clear when I pause the audio engine.

Hope that is useful. (and before it is out of beta, please, please, please consider adding an auto-overdub option on the sync page as a subordinate function to auto-play).
