i said "realtime timestrech" FL has time strech, and supports ACID and REX, but its not realtime. I hate that. thats all i meant

I feel sorry for that guy actually.. you know he just wants to say so much more, but then it would be illegal because the product doesn't have those features :O(

I did think it was funny when he admitted that their new browser is like the one that Ableton Live and others already have... I doubt that was in the script

That may very well be the case. Nothing wrong with admitting that. Surely it was a good feature to add though?

Just like when Cubase and Sonar and the rest added freeze, when Tracktion already had it. Or when others added clip based effects, which Tracktion already had.

You can't be first to everything. Every host has to catch up somewhere, right?

I actually think it is more than Live's browser, in fact, because of the fact that IIRC he said it will scan your hard drive and organise loops into instruments, etc... (Live does not do that - the user must organise their own stuff).

and they (as well as Samplitude and others) did it alot better than tracktions freeze, no offense. But im sure this will change in the future

hmmm they had this before the first release of samplitude 7? Because that, if not an earlier version, had clip based effects

Absolutely, yes. And like Jason, I thought his honesty was a good thing too.

Load of people - me included - have been asking for good audio loop support, and it looks like they have done it with real style. I look forward to trying that out

Yes, it does that. Very nice, because you can then click buttons to only display the loops you want. Just like Garage Band.

Notice the drop down list at the top.

And Jason, Tracktion has had clip based effects since almost the beginning, before Samplitude 7 was anywhere close.

I dont really use standard loops... i have some, such as Sofo's Toyz, and some noisy stuff, but nothing categorized, so doesnt matter much to me.

I'm not a loop guy either, so I do understand why people will wonder "is that it?". But as it's been said, this is the largest T update ever. You do the math!

samp 6 had clip fx as well according to the feature list

I believe T came out with it even another version before that. I know it's been there for around 3 years or more? Don't remember exactly. It's been a LONG time.

Not knocking Samplitude. I have the SE version from the CM coverdisk, and I love it. It won't be my host any time soon, but I have kept it installed and mess with it often, just for fun.

I'm just not 100% sure of the timeline. Again, it's been since WAY before I can even remember.
