I found this oldish article from Ozgur Can. Here's the first bona fide progressive house producer I've heard of using FL. I'll say it once again... don't blame your tools

"progressive house" guy using FL....... WOW what a shocker (not). That's not much credit to FL, no offense..
Now if you came in and said "some guy walked into a big studio and said he needed to import his Fruity Loops project off his USB flash drive onto one of the studio DAW's, and ANY LESS THAN 5 people didn't involuntary fall out of their chairs and fall on the floor with involuntary laughter convulsions" THEN I would be impressed.

Hosts don't prevent you from doing good music. Some are only easier to use for some specific kinds of workflows. That's the whole idea of having different kinds of hosts. Otherwise there would only be one kind host in the whole world.
Workflow can somewhat influence what kind of music you write. The "nyances" will be different on tracks written in different hosts (atleast I've seen this happen to myself). For example my tracks have a bit different feel when I write them on Live, Logic, or at my friend's place using Renoise. The workflow affects which stuff you most easily change from the song and you subconsciously start relying a bit at those things when working and doing changes...
Misspellers of the world, unit!

Gotta love it when people say "big studios" like they're some magical fantastic places that no mortals step in. Especially when most big studios will have at least one copy of FL Studio installed.Odditory wrote:"progressive house" guy using FL....... WOW what a shocker (not). I'd find it more shocking if someone's producing symphonic pieces with FL Studio only.
[without notation it's a bit too hard

But house? LOL! It's perfect for house.

And for those that doubt FL's ability, you might as well throw every host that you own away, because it's all relatively the same, just different workflows (except for reason, which uses proprietery synth)
Albino 3.0 sounds just the same in FL as it does Cubase or Protools, so unless you actually know what FL is, don't talk shit on it.

Big f**king deal. Everyone used to say Mike Oldfield uses Fruity Loops (even the imageline website) but in a recent audio technology magazine i see there's an article where he's talking up Logic. Seems he's upgraded and i'm sure when this progressive house guy realises how shit FL is he will upgrade too.

"Big Studios" also brought you such phenomenally AMAZING recordings such as The White Stripes.

I haven't even seen a f**king studio with a PC in it!
It's all Apples and Pro Tools. Deal with it.
