Why is the "Host Flaming Rant" thread stickied?

Any chance of getting it unstickied from thread purgatory so that it can go where dead threads go?

TBH it would be cool if it could stay stickied but with everything after Muff Wiggler's original post trimmed off.

Post

I could live with that. Especially if it is renamed to something useful.

Something like "The Best Host" or "The Best Host - Flaming Rant" would do nicely.

Yeah, that thread went to the shits pretty quickly I'm afraid...

Post

Good idea! :tu:

I think I fixed it up nicely, the new solution should work better for everyone. The original thread keeps it's title however. Replies have been split off into a new "comments/fallout" thread - see the last post in the 'host flaming rant' thread for more info.

Thanks.

I think you should wiggle your muff and stop worrying about it.
Please understand that this is coming from someone who quotes Terry Pratchett - Melkor

Wow, this was an odd thread to bump almost a year later.

seems to be a lot of old thread bumping lately...

That just makes me want to go find a thread as old as I possibly can, with some big product news, and bump it!

Didn't someone get kicked off the boards a year or so ago for doing that?

The name escapes me now. But it was someone who'd been around for a while. Suddenly for some reason he just started bumping threads all throughout the board. I thought it was kind of amusing but I can see why it annoyed people. He took some kind of principled stand over it IIRC.

Or I could just be making all this up? Anyone?
