Just took the crown of the "Amp Sim/Distortion" plugin world for me.

Much much much too much

Indeed it's a beauty. A treasured jewel here.

I keep hymin' and howin' over getting this.

I know when I demoed it I liked it.........

What I use right now is guitaramppro (only usable in logicpro) and it's good.....but high on the cpu and it's kinda "all the same" sounding.

I am glad you love it Amberience. It allows for massive control and has a zillion presets and a HUGE community over at www.izotope.com

Me, I just needed distortion for my buddy's guitar - I am a composer and keys are my bag. I don't even own an electric guitar (yet). I've had a few guitars in my past (and two acoustics now - I play a little) - but now, with the three awesome distortion packages I have, I need to buy one and play!

Trash was too daunting for me.

Don't start using logicpro/guitaramppro.........or guitar rig!

Yes, but you have to have some knowledge of how frequencies work for post/pre and the "timbre"......then the sky's the limit.

It's not an instant gratification plug........it has allot going on. Multiband/single band, post and pre eq/filter, some fx, a comp .....if you are not a tweeker.......it can be daunting.

btw, it's hell-a stable!

New Line6 VST very good too.

yeah i dont like the presets, at all... they all seem so freaking "hushed"... give me some setting ideas to get it to really crank without sounding overtly TINNY
