Is there any way to use audiounits in Logic's sample editor (like DAE/AudioSuite plugs)

I keep finding myself wanting to use them in there but I don't know how...I end up going in to Amadeus II but then I don't have the Bar/Beat Ticks :(

Or do I just have to save up the big bucks and buy a protools card if I want to use effects in the sample editor?

No, Logic can't do offline processing like this, it's not setup for it. The best thing to do is get a wave editor that supports plugins, like Peak, DSP Quattro, Apple Soundtrack Pro etc. Plus these apps will giev you better sample editing in general, batch tools, and some useful creative functions as well.

True concerning offline processing in logic

This is though, one the main features of the wishlist for the next update :

you may have a glance in there, if needed

Would Peak LE do the trick though? I don't really feel like dropping five large (Peak Pro) just to apply AU effects to a clip.

I really need the Bar/Beat ticks for time correction.

Hopefully it'll make it into Logic 8 though!

You know, i often use myself the bounce fonction in Logic as an audio editing operation everytime that the use of automated parameters for sample designing is needed

Quite a counter-intuitive operation,

But at least, it's the only application i own that delivers this feature ( i do own an old version of Peak LE + Dsp-quattro + recycle + soundhack + etc,...)
