Well, no vox so full guitar. This is a one-shot solo, non-edited. Half of you will hate it, the rest will loathe it, but it really got my ya-yas out. :hihi:

Frankly it is a tribute to Terje Rypdal (Norwegian wammy bar hero) and the Vanguards, one of my favorite instrumental rock/fusion bands.

Please don't kill me for the fade-out drums, I needed to get this done quick and dirty or I'd never have the guts to enter with this track.

Speechless

Used equipment for this production, during which I didn't make a single sound:

Orchestral
Real Guitar
Tau 2
Battery

Waves Diamond

Cubase SX

P.S. There is a sound in the track that sounds like a voice, but definitively isn't a voice!

This month was easy to decide for me. I did a remake of one of my old songs we used to play with my last band. It was the opener of our concerts, called "Instrumental". :hihi:

Now I had to do everything myself ! No wonderful drummer and punchy bass player to help me out, but Logic was a welcome replacement.

You can hear my MiniStrat, MiniJBass, MiniMaxDrums and a Hammond.
Fx : Classic Reverb and Delay, Glaceverb, mda Detune, W1 Limiter and my latest gadget : OVERTONE GEQ (in fat lettres, because it sounds so FAT !)

Here's a link to it at The Auditorium (still no direct one; although Kara offered me help with a website, but that's still like "Chinees" for me... ) :

Fall has come and all the words have gone, so I decided to take a

or sth. like that. It's propably already a little boring :hihi:, but I'd have liked to make it a little longer still.

Stuff used: bass, guitar, mouth organ, Sonar, Samplitude and some vsti and fx.

A retro R&R frolic about me cat - named 'Cat'. I know -- not too original a name -- but I also used to have a dog named 'Dog'.

First thing I do in the morning is wake up, put the coffee on, turn on the PC and listen for a dog barking. When I hear the dog barking, I know where Cat is and I then go out to snatch her back to home. :)

She gets real active and playful when I play the Dreggs and similar, so this was my inspiration for my entry this month. She appears to like it -- pity she can't vote

I tried for days to get a good sample out of her but couldn't, so I did the cat meows on slide, and the dog growlings are simple string scrapes. :hihi:

Everything was recorded in Audition and seq'd in FL Studio -- Battery for all the percs & Font! for the sf keyboards.

Good theme this month for me, since my voice is still buggered from a recent bout with the flu.

Cheers for Listening!

If next month's theme is going to be either "acoustic" or "classical" I will personally strangle the contest organiser.

The Lonely Princess

Opening theme, inspired by the kiddy theatre, Creatures in the basement.

Those who don't know the play, don't feel bad. I don't think many outside of Ekurhuleni do. Well maybe not even many who live in Ekurhuleni would know it. It does not matter. Just enjoy it....Well, if you don't enjoy it, it doen't matter either. Maybe next month I'll come up with a theme for the Dancing Ducks. Just this time the ducks would feel uncomfortable amongst all the cats and dogs here.

Produced, mixed and recorded in Sonar 5PE
My guitars (Yamaha APX & Santa fe DRW)
VSampler piano
GPO orchestra
DR008 percussion
Wuzik synth

The Seventh Ditty

I decided to do something in an odd time signature, because I really didn't try hard enough that month... :hihi:

Used my Yamaha upright, my Wurlitzer, my Yamaha flute (sorry to any actual flute players  ), my Washburn bass, Stylus RMX, Nubi LE Plus, and I think that's it...

Used mostly Blockfish, Classic Verb from my Powercore, Buzz Maxi 3, etc - I think I smashed it a bit much, but I was in a hurry

GIANT MUSHROOM STAMPEDE! (run for your lives!!!)

This is a little noodle I knocked up for the comp (my first entry, woohoo!)

It's a kinda tribute to goa trance (the genre of dance music that "feels like home" to me), but also a friendly satire (meant to make you smile :) ).

man i <3 KVR :)
