Progressive House from FL?

Here's the first bona fide progressive house producer I've heard of using FL.

Correction, it's you who hasn't been around at all. In the world of house/trance, anyone who's remixed or been remixed by names like John Dahlback, Gabriel & Dressden or Probspot, and shares a label with artists like Tilt, Solar Stone, Luminary, Leama and Moor is f**king BONA FIDEEEEEEEE

I'd find it more shocking if someone's producing symphonic pieces with FL Studio only.

I'm new here, buy it kinda seems that there are ALWAYS people who beleive that what *they* use is right, and everything else is wrong.

I'm no rockstar, (despite my title) but I've worked with plenty. Hoffy may be right that it FL isn't installed in alot of *recording* STUDIOS, but it sure has been the secret weapon for alot of well known artists in their tour busses and homes.

So has Reason.

However, payola is alive and well, and it's not unlike a big corp to give money to a well like artist to say they use something. So believe half of what you see and NONE of what you hear.

Some artists I've worked with, barely even know how to use _insert your superior DAW here_ and yet they have a gazillion dollars. That's why engineers are in demand.

By all means use what you love, but let others love what they want to.

And before anyone gets the chance; No I will not risk what TINY connections I have in the industry to 'out' individual 'famous' artists on how they make music.

Well, if Fl Studio is good enough for Matthew Dear, Akufen, Tiga, Mike Oldfield, Jeff Samuel, Secret Cinema, and well, Ozgur Can , it SHOULD be good enough for anyone...

im using fl professionaly its my main sequencer since 2002 till then i used cubase since 1996!

few months ago i made a track in cubase sx2 just to see if working in the way i know to work i will sound any better in cubase! guess what... i didnt that track sounded exactly the same! it only took me about twice the same time to do the same work!!
in my expirience its not the tools it the user! if u sound shit in fl u will suck in cubase aswell and vise versa!

Yep. Done it myself under a deadline. Not my best work, but not FLs fault, but because I was rushing, and yet the client didn't know *or care* that it was FL, and was very happy and paid yummy.

KVR have my respect, because even though there's bickering and pettiness, we're here cause we love some aspect of music, thus are kindred spirits.

a friend of mine started making music using FL,
only after 9 months of uploading his vocal house tracks
to a "free mp3 website" he got signed by a label...

and by now he released several house-hit-singles, EP's etc..etc..etc..
he uses FL and for the vocals he uses Sample-CD's
anyone else could buy

no fluffy secrets, no fancy equipment either!
he does all this with a simple P3-500mhz-Computer.
