Exactly the problem with all of you 'new-style' mods! :x

Muff Wiggler wrote:hmm, i didn't really see brushed metal at all untill i looked closely.. i just scrolled up to have a look.. on memory i would have said "both look identical, one with a blueish background and one with a greyish one. same GUI though"

at least you don't hate the brushed metal look enough to go on a rampage everytime someone mentions a product that uses it :hihi:
only if formerly they had a nice sleek interface... then i would for sure :)

i dont use EA or RND products, but I still commented, just for principle. Its ugly! :)

I am speechless.

why would he EVER change it??!?!!?!?
its no coincidence that the movie PREDATOR logo is the exact same style - not even the f**king logo is original.

dude, roger dickhole is a greazy fast talking used car-salesman and a has-been. he deserves to fail and go down in a steaming pile. he's a class a con artist/ripoff.

Side note: as a former Elemental Audio customer, I'm awaiting for NuGeN to finish their Audio Visualizer development. From what I'm getting from the betas, it will meet all my metering needs that have been covered by Inspector Pro so far. And that will be the (sad) end of this Roger Nichols history for me.

he writes a column in sound on sound which I wanted to dislike but found him to be quite funny, damn.. :dog:

What he writes in SoS is a hot pile of steam. You ask him a question, he answers with something completely different.

I'm really curious about "future developments" and "prices". If InspectorXL turns "surround", and I have to pay 250bucks to "transfer", he can f*cking suck my d*ck and go burn in hell!

grymmjack wrote:so what? he's not the programmer. he's simply slapping his name on the shit and marking it up bigtime in price, so the pros will buy it because they will think "hey it costs alot it must be great, and it's endorsed by the guy who recorded sony and cher".
The fact is, he's within his rights to market these plugs as he wants given whatever financial arrangement and overall agreement he has with the original developers. He's under no obligation to reveal the origins of the plugs, and he's free to alter the interfaces, prices and copy protection.

Is he going to get rich(er) doing this? Don't know, but he might have more selling influence than EA did. Either he's dumb as a post or very smart about the plug-in marketplace.

I'm not an apologist for him, but I think some version of fairness is in order here. I still think EA has the most to answser for, but even they are well within their rights to do what they want with their intellectual property. We just don't have to like it. 8)

Just tried this freebie out, and found that one of my plug-ins was generating some significant noise below 35Hz. This didn't really register on my 'demo'd Ozone3(which I still plan on buying) and it was barely noticible on Voxengo SPAN until I changed the db paramater and still not that much(BTW, still think Voxengo is excellent stuff).
Don't know about the politics(nor care)but this is one freebie to have, and I will say that his video demo on the 'Uniq-uilizer' is pretty cool to watch, not sure I'd pay for it - but it got me thinking.

tbh, I'd always noticed that Inspector reported alot of bass, more than other monitors.

I don't know wehther they are using DWT instead of FFT, which would give better lowend response.

Still my EA version is a nice tool, and I use it periodically..

If you couldn't spot that with SPAN OR Ozone, then I think you don't know what you're doing.

Voxengo SPAN has 3.0 dB slope turned on by default. That's why it looks like less bass.

Hehe, anyways, this thread contains the biggest percentage of tasteless and not funny jokes per number of posts I ever saw in this forum.
