Can someone indicate me a VST which turns volume and dynamics iregular in order to make something sound acoustic and really played?

EXAMPLE: You program drums and than you will use the effect in the hithat track to decrease the digital feeling and turn the groove a bit irregular.

You all know, if you can indicate a freeware it would be perfect

most hosts have an inbuilt groove quantise.
check under your edit functions in piano roll window and look for either groove quantise or humanise.
select the bits you wanna humanise and see what gives(some sound better than others)

Hmm sounds like you need to get yourself some impluses and a convolution engine! Also there is wow and flutter but I'm not 100 percent it's used for this.. Yea doing a search for a convolution plugin and then search for tape_deck_impulses.zip.. Sorry I'm not at my comp or I would get you links and or files..

I think xoxos has some prety nifty MIDI manipulators and I know I'm making some at the moment. I definitely think that timing and velocity variation via MIDI is a lot more worthwhile than an audio effect if you want to humanise a sequenced performance.

Thank you guys.

I am using Sonar 4.0 and I want a VST to use on AUDIO files, not midi.

On drums & hihats you could possibly use a tremolo that had a random setting - those instruments have no sustain so you'd be effectively adjusting "velocity"
With cymbals there's more sustain - the same trick might work but you'd have to slow the speed down a bit.
Ride cymbal would be trickiest.

But most of the MIDI effects change the timing as well as the velocity, so to do the job propertly you need a loop dicer/splicer - and that sort of rules out cymbals & other sustaining instruments.

Ah. Thank you good sir. I never knew what the heck 'swing' in FL Studio meant. I guess that's what I get for never reading the documentation for anything :?

Use a short delay plugin and a compressor in series on your track and slightly automate the delay, attack and release times.
