Assuming it gets re-encoded anyway you should upload the highest bit-rate you can. Possibly it might be slightly better to convert the samplerate at your end, but 96 kbps mp3s are going to sound pretty shit whatever...

To be honest I didn't hear any quality loss to my normal 128 mbps mp3's, but in any way I see these players more as a place where people can take a first glance at your music and where you can optionally direct them to your site where you can have higher quality music.

I think the playback rate is 96kbit 22khz, so if you convert your wav to that at highest quality (you can be sure their servers are not on high quality mode to save cpu) then hopefully no conversion will take place.

The key word is in bold... I don't trust myspace not to just re-encode everything without checking it. Maybe someone could try it out and let us know?
