Clicking 1 window deactivates another windowSX3/FIREFACE800

I didn't used to have this problem.
I'm using fireface800 interface with my cubase sx-3. But whenever I click on anything else, it deactivates the current window. For example, I could have cubase playing back a song and if I decide to raise the volume level on my fireface mixer, the top edge of the screen show it's activated( shade darkens) while cubase stops playing and the top edge of it's window lightenes in shade to show it's not active .
What's going on?

Never mind. I got an answer on cubase.net.
I had accidently checked release asio in the background box.
