Hi Kaden! That's one amazing thing! How's the project coming along?kaden wrote:I grokked Hammerhead so much that 9 years later I made a *mechanical* version of it for my book, with full credit to Bram as the sourcepoint.
Are you a bad-mannered musician ?

I'm doing a few re-writes and tarting up the technical diagrams at the moment...as soon as they're out of the way I'll record the livin' shit out of Hammerhead Live and post some samples.

Possibly. Maybe it's a matter of parsonality. For me it's not about appreciation, it's about privacy. But adjust me if I'm wrong.brambos wrote:How mistaken you are.
In the first place it was much smaller place back then. Also in era of broadband internet mailbox has become something more private. That is how I feel.brambos wrote:When I released HammerHead back in '97, the internet was a cool place.
BTW. I do appricaite your work. I remember I've been having some fun hours with something called Moon Fish, which I believe was your creation. It was neat thing. Thank you.

yea, i always thought ppl didn't want to be bothered. i've always sung praises here in the forums. even then i wondered if i was bein obnoxious. however, i try not to talk about how worthless a plug is for me. i'm sure i've failed though

I agree that getting feedback for your freely released works is a great thing. But I think I GET a lot of great feedback, eventhough I've really just released one plugin yet (Anna), two plugins in beta status (compressor and eq). EnvMojo doesn't count since it only took me about 30mins to make it or so.
I also see a lot of praise of other freeware devs. Now, I have probably gotten about one e-mail, but here on kvr and on the synthmaker forums I think I get a lot of inspiring feedback.
Don't you others agree in that you get a lot of praise? I mean, I've seen most of the devs in this thread get a whole bunch of that. Is something wrong with my perceptional skills?

All the posts on this topic are enthralling.
We speak about plugins, but I think the words are the same for others moments of life (our attitude with people in the quotidian life), no ? Userfriendliness...

seems to me it's dividing into two camps
The devs who make really good plug-ins who feel that they are already getting enough praise
and the devs that make the less desirable plug-ins complaining that they don't get enough
there's a little more going on than just plain ingratitude jack

there's another camp :
The freeware devs that make stuff just because they wanna make it, and don't really need praise ( i build the stuff anyways ).

I don't know if you need praises or not, but, sorry, I've gone today on your site and your modules are truly interesting for SE users.and don't really need praise
Thank's for your work.
And if you want, you may send my praises to the trash
