Cubase 4 : Which VST 2.x Plugins don't work?

I don't found a list which 2.x plugins work and which not. I'm especially interested in which freeware plugins don't work (probably many of them don't get an update). If there is one, sorry if I overlooked it (in this case a link would be nice ).

I thought VST 2.x plugins do work. Isn't it just DirectX that's gone?

afaik cubase4 only supports vst 2.4 and vst3, even though most vst 2.x plugins should work too. but most is not all...

or am I wrong?
