Hi Norbert.
an fxp is a single preset that can be imported into a vst.
an .fxb file is a bank of presets, a collection of .fxp's so to speak, that can also be imported.
-a singular and plural format.

I have a similar question. Recently, I programmed some presets for SmartElectronix Galactix, but for the life of me, I can't figure out how to put all of the .fxp presets into a .fxb bank in Galactix. It appears the only option I have is to save individual presets, and whenever I want to change a preset, I'd have to use the load function to load one up individually instead of simply browsing a whole bank. What can I do about it? Is there some kind of universal preset/bank librarian utility app I can use or something, or is there something I overlooked in Galactix?

I need to load up Glatix to give a specific answer, but when in doubt, I always use TobyBear's MiniHost. It has a preset manager that allows you to load up .fxp's and arrange them/ combine/ rename them into one bank. It is tremendously useful.

... so, maybe on next release(?)
You can't: actually this is a limitation in Galatix's preset browser since it doesn't allow you to load\save from it. It also doesn't show the bank in whatever host you'll load it, so you can just load\save 1 fxp at a time from the host. The internal browser let you just rename the preset(s)I can't figure out how to put all of the .fxp presets into a .fxb bank in Galactix.

Thanks for the replies. I'll try using a vst host to make a custom bank for it.
