First post so please excuse any newbie stupidity

I'd been playing with the FL Studio demo and I love it! But I can't get my VST's working without glitches and clicks (DXi's are fine).

Thought it was a latency / underrun issue for ages and wasted loads of time fiddling with the settings.

I have been using Sonar LE, so my VST's have been wrapped. Is this the problem, and if so is there any way I can avoid having two sets of all my VST's?? Can I 'unwrap' them?

I'm sure this has been answered on the FLStudio web site but that doesn't help us demo users!!

And I have searched this forum also

thanks in advance.

The VSTs that are 'wrapped' are actually DXis and actually appear in the DXi list in FL Studio, not the VST list. The Sonar wrapped ones should have "VST" in front of them. "VST Kontakt2", "VST Toxic III", etc. etc.

Make sure that you have selected your proper VST directory in Options->Files->Additional VST Directory (or whatever it's called). When you go to Add Channel and get the pop-up softsynth dialogue, collapse the DXi one and make sure there's a VST subfolder in there with all your native non-wrapped softsynths inside. You may need to run the 'fast scan' option at the bottom right of the dialogue to make sure they are recognised.

The appearance of wrapped Sonar DXi's in other hosts is very annoying. Fixed with the latest version of Sonar (6), but that's not very helpful to you in this context.
