Hi guys, I use EZdrummer integrated in SONAR. Recently I got Drumkit from Hell but I can't install it. There are folders and tutorials on the CD to explain how to do it in several programas (battery, etc) but I can't figure how to do it in SONAR.

Can someone explain it to me?

I would apreaciate it a lot.

I already tried Toontracks forum but there are no answers. There a lot of peple using DFH so I guess it's logical to post my doubt here

DFH the first one? You know it's a sample library and not an instrument, therefore you need to own one of the samplers it's designed for (EXS/Kontakt etc)

So what sampler are you trying to use it with?

I have EZDrummer and I run it on SONAR, as a VST. I want to incorporate the DFH samples but I can't do it because in the instalation CD there are only folders to some specific sequencers like BATTERY. I don't know how to upgrade it to use on SONAR.

I can't remember what was on my install CD, I don't have it to hand right now. I remember there was a few different versions. Are you sure the samples aren't on there? Try installing it anyway and seeing if it places the samples on your hard drive.

AFAIK You cannot use DFH with Ezdrummer, and like someone else said, you only have SAMPLES, not a VST. You need to get a sampler like Kontakt or Battery or some other sampler that is supported.

Actually, Toontracks is coming out with a EZX (addon) containing the DKFH kit to be used in EZ Drummer.

I believe DFK is an EZX for EZdrummer. IT's an add-on that will be integrated on EZdrummer.

the Thing is that I don't use EZdrummer on battery or something, I use SONAR and load it as a VST, no prob, I have EZdrummer + Cocktail EZX, working perfectly.

I bought DFH but I can't upgrade my EZdrummer because there are only install files (zipp) for BATTERY and other program that I don't have.

The thing is: can someone tell me how to install DFH on Ezdrummer using SONAR as sequencing program?

Okay, let's get this straight. There was an original DKFH. That was comprised of wave samples or could work in DR-008 or Battery. It does not not work in EZDrummer. If that is what you have, do not expect it to work in EZ Drummer.

There was DKFH Superior (huge) that has its own player. There was also DKFH2, which uses a Kompakt player, but can be accessed in Konakt. Neither of these will work in EZ Drummer.

You need to confirm that you have the EZX for EZ Drummer.

If so, you should be able to follow the instructions so it works within EZDrummer (Like the included EZX "Cocktail Kit").

He doesn't have the EZX for Ez Drummer. It's not available yet from my research.

Hi wavefactory - these guys are correct in what they are saying - the dfh ezx has not been released yet and you have the original drumkit from hell.

I did notice that this question was answered at the toontrack forum but you were asked to register your copy of ezdrummer to access the correct forum. I'm not sure how you managed to activate your version without registering as it is a requirement of the C/R protection.

Thank you guys. My mistake, I have the original DKFH, I now realise that it's only a collection of samples.

Meantime I mailed Toontrack and I will buy DFH EZX as soon as its released.
