why dont you use soundflower !?!

Thanks, I'll check it out. In the meanwhile, I partially solved my problem by using an optical sound card, pluging the outputs into the inputs and recording back to cubase onto some other tracks. If I can do the same thing with Soundflower, that would be great.

I use Audio Hijack. I know some people who use Radio Lover.
Edit: Oh sorry, missed the vst plugin part of your request. Both my suggestions are stand alone.
I do use Soundflower as well, with Numerology - works a treat!
