Hiya,

It's probably not the right forum for this, but since there is no Utilities forum - this was the next best one.

I need to make a bunch of previews for my record label, and I'm looking for some kind of command-line program that enables me to set markers inside a wave-file and cut everything before the first marker and after the last marker. So you end up with a file from the middle section which you convert to mp3 afterwards. The reason for command-line is that I can do batches.

Can anybody give some ideas? Thanks!

as far as i know adobe audition is scriptable/batch processable. afaik a lot of waveeditors can do this..

Would WaveLab be able to do this?

Not too sure but I'm pretty sure Wavelab has some form of 'cue list' export and batching feature! I have to agree with cV AA is the best bet for this process.

You could always tryWaveKnife.

It will do pretty much everything you want for free (except the batch processing part I think!)..
