I am new to SONAR so I am not sure what to make of this issue, if it even is an issue:
1)I record a midi part.
2)The midi part is a little off time cause that's how I go. (there is no auto quantize is there?)
3a)If it's not too off-time, I'll go into the midi editor and adjust the notes myself.
3b)If its really off, I go to Process --> Quantize to correct the notes.
4)Whether I went with 3a or 3b I will quantize some swing into the part.
Here's where I am confused: I can't seem to notice any swing being applied to my part, even during an audition. This is expecially true if I have corrected the midi notes' timing myself. The quantize works fine, but listen as carefully as I can for swing, but I really don't notice any difference. When I look at the notes in the midi editor, they haven't shifted in anyway. Is the swing not visually represented?
thanks for any feedback.

Bear in mind:
1. Swing defaults to 50%. Settings of < 50% will result in the swing notes pulled forward, > 50% will result in swing notes pushed further along.
2. The swing is dependant on the Duration specified in the Resolution section. If you have a group of 16th notes, you'll need this to be set at "Sixteenth" to get the swing working.
Either way, when you press Audition, you should see the notes visually represented. If you're still having problems, I don't mind posting a couple of screenshots.
I don't know if this is in the last version (5) but there's a "Groove Quantize" that's quite interesting to use.
