I know the guy from simulanalog went on to IK Amplitude2, but does anyone know if there's any chance of the vintage suite thats mentioned on their site ever coming about, I doubt it, but you can live in hope

There was more than one Simulanalog person. Which one went to IK?

Thomas Serafini did Scarbee's VKFX plugin. Stefania Barbati and Pierluigi Zamboni were also both in some way part of the Simulanalog project.

According to whois, overloud is owned by these guys, www.almateq.com , and a guy named Massimiliano Marretta, who Google tells me did some fixes on wxWidgets, for whatever that info is worth.
