Sample folder settings

Hello... I have a sample folder with a couple of sub-sub directories. I want it to be open in the file browser, but after saving this folder location in the settings the browser in a new LiveSlice opens with the drive locations and the sample folder settings are cleared. With a folder and one subdirectory set there is no problem, but I like it better to open my root sample folder in a new LiveSlice. By the way, I use LiveSlice in Ableton Live 6.
Thanks and greetings

did you click "Save all settings as default" on the settings page after you set your folder?

Yes, I did. My first thought is that it has something to do with the fact- as mentioned in the manual- that a sample search streches out only to the first level of sub-directory of the saved default sample folders. If I save such a folder with one subdirectory as default, the filebrowser keeps the settings with the launch of a new LiveSlice, which is good. But it goes wrong when I want to save as default the folder one directory higher. The settings are erased in a new LiveSlice. No default sample folder. All in all a minor problem maybe, but noticeable.R.A.W. wrote:did you click "Save all settings as default" on the settings page after you set your folder?

Seems ok here, but perhaps I misunderstand.
Can you post a pic of your folder organisation (in Explorer) showing which folders "dont work" in LS?

My samplefolder 'Sounds' is a root on drive D. If I set this folder as default, which is my aim, the settings are erased with the launch of a new LiveSlice. Setting the subfolders as default works fine. I take it back when I said that it maybe didn't work because of the existence of sub-sub-sub directories in the root 'Sounds' folder. Because when I set as default a subfolder which has other lower subdirectories in it, it works fine also. Very strange that I also noticed that the root 'Sounds' folder in relation to a lower hierarchy is not represented correctly in the file browser. Maybe that this has something to do with it?
Greetings

My problem has been solved. I changed the name of my root folder from 'Sounds' into 'SampleFolder' and now it stays set as the default in each new LiveSlice. I also found out that it is normal that a higher up directory gets abbreviated in the filebrowser. Missed that. But it's weird that the name 'Sounds' for my root folder caused trouble. Thanks for the attention.
