For best quality at lowest CPU (IMO)

Sonalksis SV-517 and Eliosound AirEQ are both great and very low on CPU.

btw, while I really love the Sonalksis EQ, you can't beat AirEQ at just a little over $110 if the group buy does well. You should definitley check that out, then if you want something with a graph and a little different flavor you could get something like the Sonalksis SV-517 at a later date.

have you tried to enable all bands etc,
and then run audio through it?

suddenly it doesn't seem to be as light as people believe.
(rather average CPU consumption.)

Of Course my System Resources starts at 98%
due to having nothing running in the background.

The fact that I could run that many on a nearly 10 year old computer/operating system shows its very lite on CPU usage.

And hey it's only 400 Mhz. Although in reality it's clocked at 395
