Hello,

I am using SR 202 cause it does all I need (for now) but I wonder
if there is a possibility to change the samples faster while I am playing
a song. What I mean is: when I don´t like base kick A then I have to go back and load another one....puh...that takes time when you want to decide between 30 kicks.

How do you it ?

I don't think there is a way, hence the deluge of responses. I could be wrong though - I haven't used sr-202 in ages....

This won't really help you load samples into the SR202 any quicker but if you use a Mac, you can do what I do which is to add a new playlist in iTunes and add all your bass drum samples to it (or whatever). When you click on that playlist you can listen to and compare very quickly all the samples in it. I'd imagine there is some kind of similar program to iTunes for Windows that would be able to do the same thing.

I believe Paul Kellet from MDA wrote a neat little shell extension for windows that will let you audition wav files just by right clicking on them. Have a look if it is still there in www.mda-vst.com

Yes I can

- while the drum sequenze is playing you want to change the kick, snare
or watever. Therefore you need a simple button that lets you step one sample higher 'fast sample switching' -> so you don´t need to waste time with opening a folder/select wav file/enter.

I think changing samples in a comfortable way is what drum programmers
need as first option.

Neutron will allow you to choose from a bank of patches for each pad (its much more complicated than just one sample per pad) so it will give you pretty much what you need (assuming that you've gone to the trouble of loading some suitable patches into memory first).
