Watto - thanks for the reminder. I use graham's stuff all the time. This time, I finally did click on his PayPal donate button. Not a large amount of money, but hopefully enough to give him some incentive to keep up the good work.

Thanks Scott :D.

Right, I've just uploaded a new version. New features:

1) Midi note triggering (requested by R.A.W.)
2) Auto-overdub (for shamann and fabi)
3) Wait for signal applies for non-synced operation (mentioned by shamann)
4) "Double-press 'Rec / Overdub' for 'Clear Last'" option.

This last option can be selected to give some extra control when using a two-pedal MIDI-controller.

I'll write some sort of user-guide soon, hopefully. I've tried to keep this fairly intuitive, but I think it would benefit from some explanation.

Graham, I need a user guide :)

I cant seem to get overdub to work. I record, then I try to record on top of what is there and it starts a new recording?

Awesome work man! Are the betas skinnable too?

You rule. If I could get the record ontop of what's already been recorded work on (I guess this is overdub) I'd be happy.

Also is there a reason it's limited to 90s? Is it a memory limitation?

Thanks! :hail:

Top marks, Graham. Changes all seem to be working just fine.

Thanks, O giver of good things.

When you want to lock a loop, hit the play button. Then hit overdub.

If you have the host playing with host sync on and auto-overdub on, it'll flip over to overdub as soon as you reach the set loop length (from the Sync tab).

Ah. Thanks. Perhaps cantabile doesn't do this? I don't think it uses the same stuff regular hosts do.

Does Cantabile have a play button?

Sorta. It is always playing I think. The transport buttons at the top are for the internal midi/audio recorder/players I think. If the metronome works as an indicator for playback state, it is always on.

nice on the update, graham. i did try out gloop a few days ago and it's a nice plug. some things are still a little weird to me, but i'll wait for the user guide or see how the thread develops. ;)

one thing, as mentioned above by someone else, is the lenght of the loop a memory limitation? i also noticed that the longer the loop the fewer overdubs are possible.
i don't know the uk-loop-pedals you referred to, i've just used the angstrolooper a lot and was wondering if it's possible to switch between overdubbing and replacing when recording a loop.
what i mean is that overdub leaves the previous audio intact whereas replace would punch holes in the recorded audio leaving only the newly recorded (or silence)... can this be achieved via the 'clear' etc buttons in gloop? well, take your time with the user guide, i guess others can step in if they find the time to explain, but if not it's no big loss, i'll simply wait to see how things develop. :) :tu:
