Looking for a plugin that will dull harsh hi ends while retaining the spectral values. I know your probably going to say M/B compression but I've yet to find one that will give me the sound I'm looking for. There are many saturation enhancers but none that will do the opposite..

Also, It can have some kind of threshold built in..

It can't dull the high ends and yet avoid altering the spectral values?

Isn't an EQ what you're really after? Maybe one of them dynamic ones that basically has compression going on for each band? There's one in the Developer Challenge, you might want to check that one out.

Sorry about the terminology.. What I mean was a spectral enhancer in reverse with saturation.. The Admiral Quality is pretty good at what I'm looking for.. Checking out the one you suggested..

EDIT. It would be like hitting a cybmal real hard with the edge of the drum stick then immediatly throwing a clump of wet sand on the cymbal to dull the sound out.. no thats not it.. It would be like hitting the same cymbal the same way but theres thin cloth on the cymbal to stop the resonance..

The first was the one that I was thinking about, but for instance the Magalov compressor is a two band one, so that could also do the trick.

I think you can turn the air band in air EQ down. Haven't tried it to see if it works, but they have a demo out.

I think the Tube knob in EQ22, when turned left (negative values), does exactly what you are asking for...
