there are more than 540 pages each one containing 100 plug-ins, that makes it more than 54,000 VSTs...
You are incorrect. There are not 54,000 free VSTs listed there. There are 543. Look again, and you'll notice that at the bottom of the first page it says "Showing 1 to 100 of 543", not "Showing Page 1 of 543". Going to page 2 shows "101 to 200 of 543".

I would be very surprised if there were 54,000 VSTs in existence, free or not...

If it's such an awful process for you, then don't do it ...
the whole point of visiting DEVs websites to download their free plugins, is that it's up to the DEV to decide which version of their plug is available, not you. Many DEVs update their plugins regularly, because of bugs, or new features. They also withdraw plugs they're not happy with anymore.
Visiting the site means the downloader can read about what they are getting, and see what else the DEV has to offer. Some DEVs have plugs for sale ... a freebie may draw future customers to their website.

EXACTLY. That's the only reason we have freebies.

So he only has 542 more developers to contact for permission.

Actually, I didn't say I'm going to use *every* vst, I meant every VST according to the best ones on the first page of this topic.

I wouldn't bother sending 512 emails out :)

p.s. some of you need to calm down, I have stated many times before I will contact every dev before their VST goes into the torrent, and if they don't give me permission then it won't be included.

Even a torrent with 10 or 15 plugins would be a very good pack considering I'd pick the best ones.

Post

if you would pick 10, 15 or 20 plug-ins and list them here,
you can be sure I will take a look at those.

On the other hand, I would not even bother to download your torrent.

Oh, this is going to be a torrent? Then it'll take on a life of it's own and never expire. So you'll not be able to provide updates.

And providing a link to the site is NOT the same as having someone's eyeballs ON the site. Marketing 101.
