Hello,
I'm looking for a plugin that will split a stereo or mono audio signal into seperate frequencies so I can add different effects to each of those frequencies.

I have a few DBX 234 cossovers but I want to use VST/i instead of setting up the external signal paths.

Do you know of any plugins I can use for this? If not, can you make one? If so, please donate a portion of the proceeds to the Mister Gibson's Studio Fund. :D

I think the BetaBugs make a crossover filter. Can't remember what it's called though.

Hmm - there's a free DJ EQ plugin by Dave something or other....

That would do the job - you'd have to use three instances and three cloned audio tracks I suppose....

Just found it in my plugins folder - David Ross DJ EQ..

LMAO - 3 people are watching DJEQ for news.....

I can just imagine them rushing home from work to check their inbox....

That approach worked for things other than I seek:

I want to route a mono or stereo signal into 1 plugin that will split its output(s) to 3 or more mono or stereo signals which will then create 2 or more seperate mono or stereo mixer channels (like Wusik Multi-Out) which I can use to apply independent eq and fx before the resulting signal is bussed to a stereo group.

Imagine hearing your name with S100 chorus applied @100hz, DM1000 echo @800, VF-11 vocoder @2000, and an MX200 plate @12000. Each of those effects can have different fx and so on. Your name will live forever with enough processing, but it begins with individual output of the frequencies. Or does it?

Thanks Folks.

I've decided to relocate one of the 234s and use the External FX routing in Cubase4. This way I'll get exactly what I want without added system load.

I found I had DJEQ also. Not to sound dense but why should I use a plugin if I have to clone the source?

If I have to clone the source audio anyway, why stop there when the next logical step is to use the built-in channel eqs to isolate the clones' frequencies, then apply effects to each.

I do this and even more complex presently but it adds unwanted load to the drive bus which reduces my track count.

I've got a Bugpass but it isn't yet stable in Cubase4.

I've used SpaceBoy FreEQ to do this - getting > 90db/octave slopes for some real steep isolation. It all nulls out too. I've also used GlissEQ (dyn=0) and I'm sure some other favorite EQ's can be used also.
