farting on the forum with declaratives like 'piece of crap' are redundant statements that just make you sound like an idito.

I don't even care if you couldn't uninstall it. Try using some substantive contributions rather than 'poor me I installed FREE software on my (questionably stable/cluttered/mis-configured) computer and couldn't even get rid of it. Or maybe it was too confronting an app. to even consider getting help from this forum?

Whatever, who cares.

oh yeah...PEACE!

In the end I had to use my Windows restore Cd and re-install my computer back to factory state. I won't be touching that piece of crap anymore, and if CM magazine ever puts trash like that in thier mags again, I will stop purchasing the magazine. Right now I've vented my spleen I'm feeling much better"

I think samplitude is the most "windows friendly/optimized" program I have ever used. Magix is selling version 8.3 SE for fifty bucks and it hands down SOUNDS better than any sequencer on the market!(obviously my opinion). People are jumping all over your post because there is a water version of 8 that really messes up windows HOWEVER this has nothing to do with MAgix.

Side Note: I just left Cubase for Samplitude 8se and am still amazed by this program. I am saving for 9 but still find a lack of information on the web about it. Anyone know of a unofficial samplitude forum?
Thats just it mate I was talking about the free version that came with CM magazine. Thats what I'm talking about, not the full version cos I don't have it. But I'm finding it quite hillarious how people are quick to jump on my back when the version they are using is probably the full version, and not the one I installed.

Also I had a slight midi offset problem when recording but an ini tweak sorted it out . The rest seems to work as advertised . Luckily we are in a world where we are spoilt for choice so if one DAW doesn't work for you there are plenty others to try . My favorites are Samplitude and Logic .

Thanks mate, all I can think is there must have been some serious conflict with other software. I might try it again, I just can't understand why the software would not uninstall properly, I have never had that problem before with other applications.

More proof that you're still an idiot.

I have multiple DAWs on my system besides Samplitude. SE is running fine here.

cry baby.

Try reinstalling and make sure your VST path is correct.
Temporarily turn off virus protection.
Make sure all your MIDI/audio hardware is plugged and running - for the sytem to see all the drivers.

If you can't get a simple program like SE to install/uninstall properly, then you have problems.

Otherwise, stop your whining and use some other host that suits your feable miserable mind.

I'll go back to doing something 'useful' with Samplitude, like making money and having fun.

Oh dear, looks like your one of those people who just has to have the last word. I bet you used to shout & scream when you were a kid to get your own way. So when did you stop using the dummy Greg? seems to me it wasn't that long ago. Made a lot of money then have you? I have my doubts.
Thanks for the advice anyway, but I never take advice from people who aren't genuine.

Most of people don't go and call application a peace of crap, just because they don't know how to use it or it doesn't apply to their work flow or don't work on their buggy and messed home/office computers. If you didn't find a way to use it, some others might and by taking you as a credible person they might thing you're right, which is shame for them. Samplitude is by far the most advanced DAW on the planet. If you work on basic things, than you probably won't have much advantage of it over other DAWS.
works 20-40% better than non-pro "DAWS"
has great pan laws as well
