Thank marvotron for those! Sick is definitely the word! All mine were on the nicey-nice side of things. I didn't even know Poly could sound so wonderfully BAD! ;)

AdmiralQuality wrote:Poly-Ana Beta 0.11 just went up. No new features but fixed the host/ASIO crashing when the GUI was opened while notes were playing bug, which I'm sure will be a big relief to everyone. And added some SCARY presets sent to us from MDK (aka KVR's own marvotron!).

Nobody reads my posts. ;) Thanks again marvotron, aka MDK, aka Alvis Parsley, aka Elton Fastbrook, aka Tightpac, aka Value Ape!

And you may say to yourself, "my God, what have I done?"...

Don't worry, the dropdowns and tooltips are options that can be turned OFF if you liked her the way she was. And there'll be many background color schemes. This one's called "Charcoal". ("You can have any color as long as it's BLACK!" ;) )

Nite. Hopefully will have 0.20 out by tomorrow evening. And you'll be able to try the new GUI stuff even if you're expired. Just without sound.

Wow! That's it! Can't wait to try it. :)

I agree. (And thanks for taking 3 screen heights to say so! :P) This wasn't for me, it was for the people complaining about the GUI who want to be able to read their synth.

I almost like the tooltips though, am actually finding them kind of handy. I just might leave them on. :o

So, people like me? Honestly, I was worried that you seemed so inflexible on this point in the beta. The fact that you've gone back and put in the effort to rework the GUI(against your "principles", if that's the right phrase) speaks well for your customer service.

Well thanks for noticing. Yes, this concessionary GUI stuff was supposed to be "later" rather than "sooner", but it was easy enough to add and it can all be turned off so I figured, why not add it now? Can I go back to work on the sound and CPU performance now???

Here's the "Cobalt" color scheme:

By the way, I just noticed that the size of the new GUI is actually still the same, perhaps because you still use the same layout. There are rooms after you remove the those Big Knobs(TM). It would be nice to rearrange some of the controls to make use of the free space and make the GUI a bit smaller. I realize that would be a lot more work though. :)

PS: The blue face one looks cool. I like blue. :)

Cobalt looks nice. I think I'll go for that when I get it later this week to have a go at making youse all a musical demo on Sat night (is the offer of a licence still there Mr Quality?).

Cobalt

Now the beauty of your design can actually be appreciated without loosing eyesight.

Yes, you can go now and improve the CPU performance.
