Which hosts have Auto Zoom feature like in Logic?

If someone doesn't know what I am talking about, here is some explanation.
In Logic, when you select a track, the width of this selected track will automatically increase and its envelopes will be shown. At the same time, the unselected tracks are minimized to the default width and their envelopes are hidden.
Any other hosts have such feature?

You mean so they no longer line up on the timeline? That doesn't quite make sense to me.

I don't think his post made much sense.. autozoom increases the height of the selected track, not the widthBONES wrote:You mean so they no longer line up on the timeline? That doesn't quite make sense to me.
automation is only shown if you've selected it (shortcut 'V')

Yeah, Auto Track Zoom in Logic is fantastic. Hopefully Reaper will get it sooner than later.

The trick in Logic is to set all tracks to small size (vertical) than enable auto track zoom... then when each track is selected, that track (only) zooms to the large size. When automation is activated... only the zoomed track (selected) shows automation... very convenient! Lot of cool interface "setup" things in Logic. One of the reasons I LOVE it!

I suppose its a sequencer thing. Thank God I don't need to deal with that kind of krap.

cubase has this same feature. I never found it handy, and neither did in logic.

Yes, that's what I meant. You're better at explaining heheDHR53 wrote:The trick in Logic is to set all tracks to small size (vertical) than enable auto track zoom... then when each track is selected, that track (only) zooms to the large size. Really, how would this be accomplished?Kingston wrote:cubase has this same feature. I never found it handy, and neither did in logic.
Ya, too bad reaper doesn't have it yet.

close but no cigar hehefred2112 wrote:"Z" key in cubase !
First of all, itt is not automatic since you have to press "Z" and second, only the height(sorry, kept saying width before) of the selected track increases but the automation envelopes are still hidden.
I know, I am a picky mofo hehe

in preferences, project & mixer, enlarge selected track. add to that a few good zoom/automation shortcuts and it works a charm (just not my preference at all).superddman wrote:Really, how would this be accomplished?Kingston wrote:cubase has this same feature. What kingston said, "enlarge selected track" option in sx3 is pretty much the same as logic (from what i remember of logic 5 anyway)
