No professional will jump on Cubase4, or any new version anyway for daily work. First he will test it and if he can produce a session completely with the new version, he will make the change. Till that point parallel installation is the way to go.

Maybe you should look at the promo-videos?I dont know how other users are feeling about cubase, but I think, there no significant since V1. Comparing to other host....MIDI work flow/functionality/editing has not changed since Cubase 5VST!
PlugIn drag&drop, saving plugin-chains, instrument-tracks seem like quite huge workflow improvements to me.
And good things should not be changed. Only not so good ones. SAM had very poor MIDI-functionality, therefore ofcourse the changes were bigger. But Cubase already has a good MIDI-implementation.
