nothing wrong with this computer, and why would I lie? In fact if I turn the interpolation of AnalogDelay to "analog", it uses 3.6%, where as Bionic/Analog Delay will always use a steady 2.5%

I would say there's something wrong with *your* computer, and that you lie! or maybe you aren't even talking about the same plugins. Who knows.

I'm talking about MDSP Analog Delay 1.1 and it uses less than 1% on my XP2600+ - comprende? (also I always test on more than one machine b.t.w.)

Tomorrow I'll start a new thread to ask others for doing some cpu-tests with both plugins.

The cpu is about 1% here also with this new version. But this is news to me also. No need to argue

ok I just tested further,

and If I turn the saturation knob to maximum and interpolation to analog, it's using 4.6%!! WTF! how come you guys are getting 1% on older gen CPUs?

Which version are you using?

(the only thing which significantly affects the cpu-consumption on my machine is the feedback-amount b.t.w.

saturation max goes to 2% sorry try the new version it has a nag screen. Is this the one your using?

ok I just verified the problem. I was using some older version (don't know what exactly).

The latest one from the site showed around 0.7%, but as it has the nag screen, it's bye bye. Seems I haven't used it for years.

and for reference, U-he MFM with 4 extensively featured delay lines use around 2.2% CPU.

Anyway, all this is very oldschool since we have the new FabFilter offering to take things to new level. (it's bloody awesome and makes all these obsolete)
