Thanks to this thread, I discovered AirEQ. I read a few good things about it, but always thought it was Win only. Now, I was curious and had a look on their website (sometimes a good idea

), surprised about the AU version, downloaded the demo and gave it a shot.

Well, I'm extremly happy I just hit the last day of the group buy, want to say I'm in, to!

This EQ is one of the best - if not the best - I ever heard in digital domain. I did a brief comparsion between Sonalksis, Fulltec and my analog ones from Filtek and Neumann. While Sonalksis and Fulltec have been my allday digital EQs, AirEQ will replace them the first day I have it on my harddisc. It sounds just musical, smooth, superior in all freq bands, leaves transients, adds punch, wahaha what a beast!
Sweeping through the spectrum with + or - gain is just like kneading dough... I'm totaly impressed!

Compared to the analog filters, well, difficult. It won't replace them, for sure, they just add a little different color, what makes it worth to leave them in coexistence. While they have been my top end EQs for the most special and important signals, AirEQ is the first one in digital domain that really reaches that beloved analog sound we all are looking for... Amazing!

AirEQ got a review in SoundOnSound too! Not quite as salivating as I would've liked ("if you're in the market for a decent plug-in EQ"???), but fair and positive.

There's the salivating review I was looking for!

You know, a problem I have with this EQ is when I go to sweep through the frequencies, to cut problem areas, I have trouble making up my mind where the problem is, because the boost sounds so smooth!

Great EQ. Not only for the good sonic quality but also for the low CPU usage and the fast way to achieve good results. I have to say that I achieved similar quality with the PLParEQ3,....., but at its Quality Level 5 with 8192 samples delay and very High CPU load. So bouncing every track would have been the consequence....

Cmon now !!, just 80 more to go for the next step
