Im trying to get the peak controller to be the modulator signal for FM/AM but it's a bit hard. Seems I can't get the decay short enough

.FLP OR STFU

you could use the envelope controller and trigger it with the peak controller?

or route the mixer channel to another that you will use: put the peak controller in the new one, but don't let the sound through - so that it's muted.

Then put a filter before the env. controller hp/lp, whichever shortens the decay of the sound you want to drive the peak controller.

or adjust the tension?

I RAMBLE ON AND ON!

I have a .flp file around here somewhere that I use kinda like a hardware synth ... its 16 3xOscs layered, sawtooth, with a filter. Sounds great.

I also did FM with the peak controller once but I can't find it right now.

YEAH!

show that shit off!! man, its really unlimited what can be done. imagine setting different envelopes, on different paramaters, in each of those instances, and then record yourself just jamming on the envelopes, while your track plays.

the pasta-bilities....

i swear- NO ONE realizes that fruity can snap envelopes and oscillation on ANYthing, and then let you play them through midi...

it takes what, four mouse clicks...?

fl rules. im kinda glad its a secret...

peace.

Problem is, we fruity users have to endure all kinds of uneducated crap about our chosen sequencer. But yes, it rules 8)

fruity is the only sequencer/host that i know of that has programmable parameter curves; not just 1-127, but programable with math so they can step or curve in any way imaginable. i play it with my wind controller and i need loads of things to respond to breath pressure and althugh i have/am trying to get other hosts to control my softsynths the way i can with fruity [including ableton instrument racks], NOTHING even comes close. nothing.

I have used fruity for years and i periodically allow other people or advertisements to pull me away from fruity, only to discover that not only does fruity do it, but does it better!!!! I gotta go write a song.

What's there to knock about FL's playlist? It can be whatever you want it to be...

You just didn't get to know it well enough.

How did you get your playlist to show MIDI like that???

Post

latest beta: 6.4 at looptalk.
you can't edit midi in the playlist yet, but it will now display there!

yea theyre very cool - and even cooler is that we get all new updates for free - so as FL gets even closer to perfection we dont have to pay ridiculous update fees....

Just whiped this up on my laptop real quick. It shows how you can get even more envelope control with an automation clip under a layer. I prefer this technique as the envelope can be pretty much anything I want it to be!! Now if I change the automation line the envelope will change on the selected parameter and be played per note played via the layer! Give it a try!
