Pantsdown666: All of the annex.ax84.com zips are files I've captured. The microcab impulses are of the ADA Microcab. The first ones are captured from the demo of a commercial amp sim.

Are there any IR's of the Lexicon 224 anywhere? Kept searching couple days now, no luck yet. I'm especially looking for an IR that sounds like those looong deep lush Vangelis 224 reverbs.

Anyone maybe knows where to find those?

This site has alot of interesting looking impulses, but most of them are in Mac format. Any suggestions on how I can convert them into wavs, or has anyone who has done so care to share any? The author says it's OK to do so.

I think a few of us convolution fanatics have come across these files and this problem, and iirc the answers are either find a friend with a mac who can rewrite the header information (add the normal windows file extensions to the filename (aiff/aif/something else?) or save them as pcm wav's) so you can read them.

I had no friends with macs until recently, but have had no need to have these particular impulses converted. I'll see if he's got the brain power to do it

Those impulses are SDII files and Soundforge will most likely still convert them fine. At least it did so several years ago already...

Yeah, tried it back in the days and it never worked too well, if I remember correctly. Will probably work well on some sort of files though.
Fortunately, by now I got a Macbook and LogicPro, so I can just load the files in there and do all the necessary conversions.
Hopefully we won't see much SDII stuff in the future anymore, as the BMF (broadcasting wave format) easily surpasses it.

I found this forum through a referer in a log file, I'm the author of the above mentioned tool "digiconv".

as my little tool is exactly meant to do what is wanted here, I tried it out myself.

1st: the link above leads to a very old version, please find the latest here http://www.trbtr.de/g3/inhalt/digiconv.htm (http://www.trbtr.de/g3/inhalt/digiconv.htm) (although 5 years old already...)

2nd: I tried to convert "small factory hall" from the above mentioned page http://www.xs4all.nl/~fokkie/IR.htm (http://www.xs4all.nl/~fokkie/IR.htm)
it works with the following settings:
input: rawPCM, 24Bit, DualMono, littleEndian (!)
output: wav, stereoL/R, 44100Hz, littleEndian
be sure to add the 2 mono SDII-Files to the sourcefile list in the correct order (1st L, 2nd R), otherwise the stereo channels get swapped...

please reply whether you succeed.
