IMHO, the processed track sounds great!
Do you think it's because you've listened to them so much that your ears can't adjust? That happens to me, I know, so it's good to have another opinion.
I like the song too mate!
Cheers,
Alex

Those sounds BEG for a beefier filter, and some filter modulation.

thanks Alex! it sounds good to me too, but I'm not an expert in these dance sounds
in fact Devon I was expecting such a comment on the filter, thanks for that,
but I need to ask you why the starting bass of
http://www.dashsignature.com/SM/acilead++++.mp3
is not beefy or modulated enough?
could you please point me to a proper example?
maybe an mp3 to listen to?
which filer are more beefy in VSTs?
FabFilter One? Albino? you name it?
Thaaaaanks!

I can't think of a proper example off the top of my head that I could share. Proper filter? FabFilter or MiniMonsta would do what I'm thinking. It's the beefy analog resonation of the filter (not a digital whistly type), and the modulation of the resonance freqeuncy to give the 'sweep' is what I'd expect for that cliche. I believe I have something on my DAW at home recorded already that was done with MiniMonsta that illustrates what I'm talking about though. If I remember....

Erk... Why don't you try to do something that you like doing, rather than worry about trying to sound like something that might not be your strongest point...er....

yes Stratification I agree with you, that's what I ussually do (you may check this)
but in this case I'm working on the plugin filter and I want to reach a classic good sound and start from there

with still digital whistles
but this one:

sounds quite good to me, what you think?

Um, f**k all that if you'll pardon my Hurrian.
Having spent a completely psychotic amount of time with Acidome and Acilead you know what I like best about them? The filters. They're sick, they're almost a whole new thing under the sun as far as I'm concerned. v2 and v3 are both superb.
Kinda reminds me of that Totc hi-rez sound but also with the druggy filtiness I miss from his otherwise stellar mixes.

Hey Liqih, I remembered. Crank this up and listen.
http://www.panicnow.net/~devonb/Monsta.mp3
Even the 'whistly' bits sound more organic and alive, but listen to the meat of the bass. That's what I expect out of a filter for what you're working on specifically.

Here's a quick smash together of your song with MiniMonsta. Excuse the mess considering it was thrown together in about 15-20 minutes.
Listen to the acid bass on this one. Note, this has NO effects outside of what's on MiniMonsta and Ozone's limiter to tame the peaks. These are in fact default presets.

thanks for the comments runagate, I also like this filter sound already but I want some more, <grin>
many thanks Devon for taking time to help me!
your examples surely sound great and right,
just that since I'm not using a moog filter model
that meaty bass sound will never come, but the comparision is worth a lot, I actually like the bass in my v2 for its aggressive grittiness (do you?) but if that could aslo have
some of the fatness of you moog bass would be awesome,
about the lead, the moog one is so classic and sweet that I'll just shut up, so one the opposite I'll try to make my sound less sweet but still lucious if I can
thanks again
