Let me first say that I've had some severe problems with my computer. I need to reinstall everything to get back to a stable system.

This prepones my plans with at least 2 days, was planning to release the updated SANE FM when the poll was closed, but around midnight tonight (saturday) the update will be available for you to download it.

What can you expect? 15 new patches as well as all patches stored in the plugin, and all parameters are now fully automatable. I also prolonged the delaytime to 3 times it's present length.

Once this update is out I'm gonna take down my system and be ofline for at least 6 hours to reinstall everything. Expect word from me in this thread in aproximatly about 12 hours time so I can get some much needed rest as well

Is the wave recorder any closer to release in SM ?
I thought i saw a waveplayer, or is that the recorder ?

Waveplayer, yes it's available. But no waverecorder AFAIC. Still version 1 is due in less than 10 days so who knows what they've got up their sleeves?

Now this doesn't look well! My system has gone really unstable the last 2 hours and it seams a crash will acour sooner or sooner.

This means that I have to concentrate on getting the non-sse plugin updated for now. But I will revamp them all tomorrow when I have a better and more reliable system.

How to obtain the non-sse plugin:

1. Start the updater that came with SANE FM.
2. Click on "Check now".
3. If all goes well you should see a change log showing up and the download button hilited.
4. Click it. Now the download starts, and when it is finnished

* the download (a rar file) is launched
* a dialog showing up with a message. Click OK to end the updater.

5. Now extract the plugin into your vst folder.

You're done! Now have fun tonight with your new toy while I struggle to get my toy back into business!

The updater always crashes here (on Windows ME) so I have not been able to get this new build.

Can you provide a download link please ?

Ofcourse I can if you can provide me with some error info. How it crashes, when it crashes etc etc.

And I'll make a new update ready later tonight, this time with all versions included.

It systematically crashes on load. As simple as that.

SM doesn't support Windows ME and you need a processor with SSE instructions so you can just forget about it

Excuse me but apart from one single vst whose name I can't recall right now all the SM stuff I have tried runs on my platform.

I have an SSE processor I think as well. Athlon XP.

And just in case you haven't noticed I haven't complained about Sane FM not working here but just about the updater. The VST and the standalone just work fine.

Ok I'm very very sorry about that. Didn't have a clue about that. Have you tried to start the updater from the start menu?

The updater is compiled in BD7EE (Borland Delphi 7 Enterprise Edition), if it can help you then I can send you the sourcecode so you can recompile for WinME.

I'm still having some severe problems with my directsound driver, crashes every time I try to use that in SM, but I hereby promis that I will have a complete update ready during this week.

No I haven't tried to to run it from the start menu as it's gone from there since a long time. I don't leave stuff in the start menu usually. Just double clicking on it in the folder where it is. Does it need an argument maybe ?

And I don't have Delphi 7 so I could not compile the stuff.

I thought you had a new build online but it is not really the case yet, is it ?

Just start it up without any parameters. Apart from the -dbg (debug) parameter there aren't any parameters.

No I haven't recompiled it after this version, since for now it has all the features that is needed.

I tested to download the update here with WinME settings for the updater, and no problems acured. I dunno if It is using.

I will reinstall Delphi in a few days time tho.
