can somebody tell me where i can buy some good Bontempi organ samples?

Also, if you know anybody that may have sampled their bontempi or any other cheap keyboards and put the samples up on the net for free.

It would be much appreciated.

Check in the SR forum (the "Squids Tron Collection 2" thread), ask him if he has any. If anyone would, I'd think it would be Squids.

Tron2 is going to be a number of obscure instruments (novachord and optigan, for example), as well as some unusual trons.

Growing up in the 70s, we used to have a Bontempi HIT Organ, which was a kind of fan driven organ. I don't know if Bontempi made other types of organs.

If that's what you're looking for, I ran across this set from the Koestler Rigoletto. It seems to be the same type of organ and from what I remember, has a similar sound:

I think Bontempi are more for their toy transistor organs. I've never come across any samplesets of them. Which is too bad, since it isn't easy to come by Bontempi organs here in Canada.

Thanks for the link to the reed organ though, that might be some fun.

Not a Bontempi but I can recommend the Koestler Rigoletto from Precisionsound.
It's got a very similar cheesy reed organ sound.

..and it's free!

I have a Bontempi and plan to knock up a sample set for it.
A future project though.

I have one of the end of eighties - beginning of nineties. It's a 2 octave organ for children (I was 4 or five) based of a very noisy fan. Attack is very slow, sound is not good. Later I modified it making the air tube (I don't know how to explain it well) more rigid to reduce attack time and make it sound louder. The result is not very far from original.

If you want I could sample it (need only to find the time to do that), but I think it won't be very useful. If you're interested, just tell me here and I'll try to do it next saturday afternoon.
Then I need to know where to put the samples (rapidshare? sampletorrent? I need a solution which costs me nothing). Only one thing: I own only a crappy dinamic microphone, so don't espect to hear very good sounds.

If you're interested, put a line here and I'll try to do that
