Hi Y'all

As you may have seen Iain Morland (who inspired PVB) has donated 3 wave files of his professional voice-over voice saying "Preview", "Demonstration" & "Please Purchase". These can be d/l from the main PreRoll Recorder page on my site and next to PVB ;)

Iain makes some nice music too which you may well want to check out (and you can hear PVB in action).

Thanks Iain :D

is there a newer version to download?...I kinda lost track with things going crazy this fall...:)
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Hi Hink

PRR is still the same version - the Buddies are new but there are no demos of them. PRR is what I wanted your comments on.

Thanks :)

Hey I'm not hearing much about RollBuddy. Are we using him or dies he not hit the spot?

Post

to be honest i am confused by how roll buddy works - seems like it's useful, but maybe too cumbersome for me to bother comprehending.

i have gotten quite used to the prr being in the background doing its thing, though. i don't think about it while i'm noodling/jamming, but when i close eXT i always take a look at the .wavs and am really happy that some of the happy accidents were saved. thanks again. 8)

Glad that PRR is working for you

What confuses you with Roll Buddy?

Basically it can record 1-4 one-shot sections on demand, bit like ganging 4 tape decks

Benedict, could you give me an example of how you use Roll Buddy? It would be a help to me if you described the process.

Recent events have caused me to re-visit your plugins. :D

Thanks Improv

Will post your link on Thurs evening my time.

It will end when I stop developing :troll: :lol:

Bobsled: I guess maybe I approached RollBuddy from a very Benedict-o-centric angle :lol:

RollBuddy is a sequencer triggered recorder that can record 1-4 wave files - with gaps for reverb tails etc. Use it to sample synths or just record a phrase.

If you duplicate the example in the tute on the site that should get you started, or:

* Insert Janus
* Insert RollBuddy as an effect
* Copy the diagram into your sequencer using quarter notes for the notes and the gaps
* note/gap/note/gap/note/gap/note
* Remembering the MIDI #000 note or CC #16 (I think) to trigger the record cascade
* Put Roll Buddy on Preset 2 for quarter notes
* Press Play on your sequencer
* Stop or turn off the power to RollBuddy
* You should now have 4 .wav files matching the notes in the sequencer in the RollBuddy folder next to RollBuddy.dll

RollBuddy will get a visit when SSP II is done.

And what recent events turn you back to us Bobsled???
