Is it possible to use the velocity of channel or midi channel as an internal controller?
What I would like to do is use the formula or peak controller, llinked to velocity to controll the tempo of a project. Is it possible?

You can use Fruity Keyboard controller and link its velocity output as an internal controller.

I am also deeply embarassed for you.runagate wrote:Toxikator wrote:You mean I'm discounted around here? I need to post more.

But I don't want to leave you dangling under the falls of self-loathing. To atone, I will allow you to create a massive synthesizer using the formula controller, envelope controller, multiple native generators and effects, keyboard controller and layers. You may then post the .flp here and be absolved.
Of course, it should be suitably entertaining. The path is narrow and difficult to redemption, my friend

ok Hink, here's your chance.
How do I link to the velocity of the midi out?
velocity is not a parameter that shows up in dialog box of "link to controller"

That's because the MIDI out doesn't publish velocity as an internal controller, only Fruity keyboard controller does. MIDI out will send velocity via MIDI, of course, but not as an internal control.ouroboros wrote:ok Hink, here's your chance.

I think I've misunderstood you.
I have a midi out channel. I would like to link to its velocity parameter, but it isn't listed as a controller. Or were you suggesting otherwise?

ouroboros, create a layer channel and a fruity keyboard controller. layer the controller and the midi out under that layer, and play everything in that layer instead of the midi out. now you can link to the velocity of the keyboard controller.

Ahhh, got it. Thanks, all!
I had once again confused the midi out and the keyboard controller, in addition to not realizing the keyboard controller contained a linkable velocity parameter.
I'd like to blame it on a momentary lapse, but it's been a verrrrry long moment....

thats what layers are forToxikator wrote:Indeed. My point was that you can't link something to ANY velocity, only to the Keyboard Controller's velocity.
