I've definitly started to plan and sketch up next year's plugin. Anyone of you else who've started?

it's not so "out of the blue" anymore

I've got ideas, but I sure as f**k won't hold them off for next year if I can execute them well before then.

I don't know, show me that there'll be more than just regulars voting, and that they'll be less voting based on speculation (daunting task, but you wouldn't have to work hard with me on that one) and I'd consider it longer. Otherwise, cheers.

chris, if you want to win, you have to know the demographics. if ya want to be happy, you'll do what ya want

Heh, funny, I did what I wanted but I'm still not happy. :?

It's no bugger though, I don't really care that much. People use my stuff, just not here apparently.

you seem to care too much

eh, being bothered and caring are two different things... ;)

i didn't have enough time to make something for this competition, but i've got myself back into the swing of coding once more, so i'll hopefully be able to play next time round :)
Kick, punch, it's all in the mind.

Post

But what if there's a theme next year? eh? :)

Post

How about a split between true newbie developers and the oldies? ;)

Maybe multiple categories. Spread the love, I say

Post

pirate theme, and categories would be good, like one for newbies, one for oldies and one for babya.

Post

What would constitute as a new and an old developer? This was my first VSTi but I think some see me as a non-VST-n00b :)

Multiple categories or themes could be cool though. Could one participate in several categories then? Like in the glitch effects category AND the drum synthesizer category, for instance? :)

Or maybe "keep-it-simple" is the best, like it was this year...

Post

Maybe we could have three categories : instuments, effects, others.. ? And maybe a sample bank category also, it would be funny. But we could have also winter and and spring contests for such smaller categories, with smaller prizes... Why not settle a KVR foundation ? Everybody could give some money from time to time and we should vote trhee or four times a year for our so gifted devs.
You can't always get what you waaaant...

Post

I see 3 categories max. Very generic

eg. Experimental, Emulation, Educational? dunno

(edit: jinx :hihi:)
